Privacy note for the TrackCourier API

When your application looks up a shipment through the TrackCourier API, we keep a record of that lookup, so we can answer your questions about it and fix problems quickly.

What we keep for each lookup

The courier and tracking number you sent, and when; the response we sent back; how long the lookup took; which of your API keys made it; and the IP address and user agent it came from.

For how long

90 days. After that it is deleted automatically.

Why

To answer your questions, such as "what did you return for this shipment?", and to find and fix problems in our service. We do not sell it.

Who can see it

TrackCourier staff, only to support you and run the service.

What a response can contain

Whatever the courier publishes about the shipment, which sometimes includes a recipient's name or a delivery location.

Other records

Your account, your usage counts and the shipments we count for billing are kept for as long as your account and our accounts need them. A few other records we need to run the service can also contain a tracking number: the shipments your webhooks follow, the shipments we keep checking for you, our servers' logs, and the alerts our staff receive. This note covers the TrackCourier API; trackcourier.io has its own privacy policy.
